Goldsmiths Taster Day

On November 11th, Daniel McDermot and 10 AS Literature students had a taster day at Goldsmiths University. They had a tour around the university before having a full lecture from Professor Russ McDonald entitled, ‘The Pleasure of the Sonnet’. This was well received by all students who managed to get plenty of notes. After the lecture they had lunch in the hall with current Goldsmiths students before having a masterclass on writing personal statements. The students learnt how to structure their statements and how to avoid clichés. The trip was well received by all the students who attended and many of them became convinced that University is definitely something to aspire to.
