Plumstead Manor Sixth Form has had astonishing results in 2015.
We are very proud to be celebrating an excellent set of Post 16 results at Plumstead Manor, which see outstanding achievement for students across the ability range at our high-achieving mixed Sixth Form Centre.
120 Year 13 students took examinations this summer at Plumstead Manor. There were over 200 entries for a wide range of A2 qualifications and 90 BTEC qualifications were also taken.
Headline A level grades were: A*A 10%, A*B 36%, A*C 71% with a 99% pass rate. In vocational subjects there was even greater success with 58% of students gaining Distinction* or Distinction grades and 78% Distinction * to Merit. Combining Vocational and Academic subjects 23% of exam results this year were at A*A grade equivalent, with 15 students overall gaining ABB or better. All of these results are from across the range of arts, humanities and STEM based subjects (Maths and Science).
There were some astonishing individual performances. Ayomide Olubummo gained three A* grades and goes on to study Dentistry at Queen Mary University of London. Elsie Duffy achieved A* and three A grades and goes on to study Maths and Physics at Warwick University. Abdala Aadan gained Distinction*Distinction*and A* and goes on to study Maths at Queen Mary University of London. Other individual successes include Zahra Ali with AAB, Zakeria Hassan with A*BB, Seada Merkulaj with A*B Distinction, Maeva Pierre-Georges with AAB Distinction*, Inca Robinson with A*AB, Abdullah Sheik-Yusuf Distinction*, Distinction*, Distinction C, and Anjanika Devindi Thalagoda A*ABB.
We expect that most students will go on to their first or second choice university and these represent excellent results for a non-selective mixed Sixth Form. They are testament to the hard work of staff and students alike. We are proud of our inclusive approach, and our commitment to excellence for every student irrespective of background or ability.
