Dress Code

Below is the Plumstead Manor Sixth Form dress code. Please make sure you buy appropriate clothing to start the new term.

 

All students are expected to wear business dress that would be appropriate in an office or business environment. This is a privilege extended to Sixth Formers and is a recognition as a transition to adulthood and as your status as Senior Members of the school.

Details of the dress code and what is to be worn are clarified below:

 

  • All male and female students are to wear a business suit all day 8.30 – 3.00p.m. and for after school events and activities.

  • Male students to wear trousers, shirt and blazer, a jumper or cardigan may be worn in addition.

  • Female students to wear a dress or plain long or short sleeved blouse/top with tailored trousers/ skirt and a smart blazer/jacket.

  • Smart shoes.

  • Jewellery and make-up should be discreet and conventional.

  • Smart coat to be worn, these are to be kept in lockers during the school day.

  • Only school logo to be worn on clothing.

 

You will be the role models of the school and representing Plumstead Manor on a daily basis, at various key events; open days, attending employment and university interviews. As students you understand the need to present yourself appropriately.

 

  • Any tattoos, body piercings, hats, caps should not be visible whilst on school premises. No sport logos/logos/messages on clothes with the exception of the school logo.

  • Any clothing that resembles or looks like jeans/denim material regardless of colour are not to be worn.

 

We reserve the right to send students home who are not dressed according to the business dress code.
