On Thursday 2nd July Plumstead Manor School hosted a Speaker Roadshow on why 'values' are important in the workplace. Schools from the cluster took part along with over 80 students participating in the event.
Three inspirational speakers shared their own career history whilst explaining what 'values' have affected their own career pathway. They each shared touching and personalised accounts of struggles they faced which really resonated with the students.
Students were then given the opportunity to ask questions to the panel. We were fotunate enough to have over 14 business ambassadors taking part in the event which culminated in them working in small groups and pitching a 'Value' to the panel.
The standard was very high but the winning group were the students pitching 'Liberty and Freedom' who were awarded KPMG oyster card holders. All the ambassadors commented on how bright and engaged our students were and what a pleasure it was working with them. They have nearly all signed up for futher events in the forthcoming academic year - we look forward to welcoming then!
